This conference is to celebrate the 60th birthday of Luciano Pietronero in  the two institutions where he has been active in the last twenty years of his scientific career: the Physics Department of the Sapienza University in Rome, and the Italian National Research Council (CNR), where he is currently the director of the Institute of Complex Systems (ISC).

The aim is to put together scientists from the fields of Physics in which Luciano Pietronero gave his main scientific contributions: Statistical Physics, Physics of Complex Systems, Superconductivity and Cosmology.
The series of talks presented aim at describing, through the contribution of world leading experts, the most recent progresses in the scientific domains where Luciano has played  a significant scientific role.
